League Rules:

2021:

​

Draft Details: 

• Offline, Live, Destination Draft - Location TBD - starting in 2022

• Trades can be made for draft picks before and during the draft

• I will keep track of all trades made & will update the website accordingly

• No time will be kept, but typically given 1-1.5 min per pick

• A 2 min extension is given if trade talks begin and another 2 min once a trade is executed

Draft Lottery:

• Commissioner will create a video announcement of order from ping pong balls drawn

​

League Format Details:

• 12-teams, 0.5 PPR, 0.1 increment scoring

• 2 divisions, 6-playoff teams with a bye week for division winners, 1 week of playoff games

• Weekly payouts for most points (see below)

• 17-week season (including playoffs), season ends after week 14

• FAA with a $200 limit per team, weekly waivers will be done on Tuesday and processed on Wednesday morning at 3:00 AM CST

• Free agency will be open to a first-come, first-serve after the waivers process

• Will attempt to write weekly posts for the league this year and post to the league website, including a post-draft analysis

• Weekly power rankings & Rivalries will be added this year

Things to consider:

• Weekly punishments for the lowest score

• Changing names each year

• The loser has to go to a town hall meeting in the city and propose a law written by the league members and live stream

Payout Details:

• Entry fee = $100 ($1200 total)

• 1st Place = $600 + Trophy

• 2nd Place = $200

• 3rd Place = $100

• Consolation Bracket Winner = $25

• Most Points, Season = $25

• #1 Seed, Season = $25

• Most Points, Weekly = $10 x 14 weeks ($140)

• Trophy Fund (had to buy a new one)/Discretionary fund for commissioner = $85

• Last Place Punishment for this year = travel to another city (not the home city) and attend a WNBA game by yourself. You must post this constantly throughout the game for everyone in the league so it can be interactive (this means live tweeting while you’re there, including pics/videos) + Wear a bag over your head during the live draft next year

NOTE for 2021:

• This year, Yaseer will complete 3 years' worth of last-place punishments in order to clarify that this year’s punishment must be completed. 

• He will wear a dress and hold a sign at the mall with pics/video

• He will buy a license plate frame for his truck (I suck at fantasy football in pink) and leave in throughout the season (anyone may request a pic from at any time through the season for proof (don’t do more than once per month person))

• He will spend 24 straight hours at iHOP (each pancake eaten subtracts 30 min from his stay) and live tweet or stream his time there

PROPOSED CHANGES IN 2021:

Approved:

• Add trading of future draft picks (I will keep track via the league website) and move up the trade deadline to week 7 instead of 10 to avoid hard tanking

Denied:

• Add 1 keeper per team, but has to be a player selected in round 8 or later. No free agents or players acquired via trade allowed - would be implemented after this year

• Add in where Champion gets to choose the Last Place’s 8th round pick during the following draft (brutal for keeper rule above) - would be implemented after this year

• Switch from 2 RB, 2WR, 1 FLEX to 1 RB, 1 WR, 3 FLEX

• Add home-field advantage in the playoffs (5-10 point boost)

• Delete kicker position

PROPOSED CHANGES IN 2022:

Denied:

• Teams are not allowed to trade 1st and/or 2nd round picks in consecutive years

PROPOSED CHANGES IN 2023:

PENDING:​

• Division changes to reflect premier league style divisions: results from the 2023 season will restructure divisions into the top 6 teams in the Champions division and the bottom 6 teams in the Relegation division

  • Each year, the top 2 teams from the relegation division and the bottom 2 teams from the champion division will switch places for the following year​

    • APPROVED FOR THIS YEAR​

• Introduce a new League Cup in the middle of the season: 4 weeks long where group play will be the first 3 weeks, and the top 2 teams will compete in a championship game the 4th week

  • The top 2 teams from the previous season will get a bye in the first week (automatic win and seed tiebreaker)​

  • The bottom 2 teams from the previous season will be ineligible for league cup play

  • An extra $10 will be added to the buy-in to crown the champion with a $100 prize and a small trophy each year

    • APPROVED FOR NEXT YEAR - BUY-IN INCREASE TO $150 - Complete restructure of prizing and format pending submission/approval next offseason​

2024 UPDATES:

• Yaseer will attempt punishment in San Diego

  • If unable to, will occur in Sacramento and be recorded​

• The loser punishment for this year will be to draft next year from a cold plunge (Yaseer to provide)

  • First 2 rounds or 30 minutes if the draft takes longer​

• Rejected rule change: delete kicker position

• Clarification on the league cup:

  • Top 2 teams mean championship game teams​

  • Week 11 advancing teams will be based on record through 3 weeks - tiebreaker will be points scored in that span of time (weeks 8-10)

  • The winner will receive their buy-in ($150) & pin ($15)

• A yearly ring prize ($25) has been added to the winner of the league

• Approved Rule Change: Redraft Keeper

  • The player may be kept for the following year if drafted after the 8th round and remains on your active roster the entire year​

  • Keepers can not be acquired, traded, or picked up on waivers at any point from draft to draft

  • The player kept is only for 1 year and becomes your 16th-round pick

  • Keeping a player is optional, so if no one is declared or no one is eligible to be kept, your 16th-round pick is retained and used during the draft

  • Keepers must be declared by July 31 before the lottery and draft

  • The rule will go into effect starting in 2025-2026, so players drafted in 2025 may be kept for the 1st time in the 2026 draft​

2025 Board Meeting Minutes & Updates:

• Continuing with 2026 draft in Chicago

• Potentially returning to San Diego for the AirBnB used for 2025 draft

• League members okay with current costs associated with the draft weekend - no adjustments needed

  • 2025 punishment created and approved by league 

  • New timeline created for not completed punishments with existing fee usage if not done

  • Colten punishment to rollover to 2026 draft since not in attendance

• APPROVED = Buy-In to increase to $200 with 2026 season

• APPROVED = No Show Fee for not attending draft beginning with 2026 draft

  • Each member gets 1 FREE pass per 10 years to miss the draft without having to pay the fee​

    • Must give at least 3 months notice​

  • If notice is given in less than 3 months or the free pass has been used (2nd+ occurance within 10 year timeframe), the No Show Fee will be applied anc charged to the league member

  • No Show Fee = $200
