PLAYOFF ANALYSIS:
1st Place: Rimmel
2nd Place: Kyriacos
3rd Place: Nazim
Consolation Bracket Winner: Alex
Rimmel has done the impossible. He has won the championship. Kyriacos has failed once again. This time by 0.1 points. Here are his accolades:
- Least Points x3
- 4th least points scored on the season
- 5th least points scored against him on the season
- -4.7-point differential for the year
o Only team in the playoffs with a negative differential
o Only the 2nd time in league history (2014) a negative differential has made the playoffs (champion that year as well)
- Won all games when scoring 100+ points this year and lost all games scoring less than 90 points
o Exception: Last week of the regular season – scored the 2nd lowest that week (84.5) and won against Sean (75.4)
o Never scored between 87.8-100.0 points
- Started out 4-3, lost 3 straight games, and then won his last 6 games with a bye week in between
- Had a week with 66.6 points…
- Had a week with 66.9 points…
Kyriacos, on the other hand, got 2nd place again for the 3rd time in 5 years (without winning) since joining the league. And like his quarterback, Josh Allen, he is turning into the Bills. Will he ever be able to win? Last time he got 2nd place, he got it 2 years in a row… but that seems unlikely without 4 of his first 5 picks next year.

Pre-Season Draft Analysis:
Humza:
Average Projection Points/Week from Starters = 119.6 (2nd)
Deep Picks with Value to Break Out: Antonio Brown
Best Pick: CMC
Worst Pick: DJ Moore
Worst Human: Ja’Marr Chase
Draft Grade: A
Post-Season Analysis: Antonio Brown did break out – mentally… Also, tough to win without CMC, but with a great pick in Chase, last place should’ve been avoided…
Chris:
Average Projection Points/Week from Starters = 114.9
Deep Picks with Value to Break Out: Pray for Star Injuries…
Best Pick: Mike Davis
Worst Pick: Will Fuller
Worst Human: Cole Beasley
Draft Grade: A-
Post-Season Analysis: Davis did not pan out, but Fuller also didn’t, so half right, half wrong – in the end, an inconsequential year by losing in the opening round of the playoffs.
Yaseer:
Average Projection Points/Week from Starters = 111.8
Deep Picks with Value to Break Out: Michael Pittman Jr.
Best Pick: Corey Davis
Worst Pick: Michael Thomas
Worst Human: Ben Roethlisberger
Draft Grade: C+
Post-Season Analysis: Pittman did do well, and Thomas did not pan out, but Davis also did nothing… Still made it to the playoffs because of Kupp, but it wasn’t enough. At least last place was avoided this year.
Nazim:
Average Projection Points/Week from Starters = 107.2 (11th)
Draft Grade: C-
Post-Season Analysis: 3rd place, I’ll take it!
Ali:
Average Projection Points/Week from Starters = 110.9
Deep Picks with Value to Break Out: N/A unless injuries
Best Pick: DeAndre Hopkins
Worst Pick: Tyler Higbee
Draft Grade: C-
Post-Season Analysis: It just didn’t work out here at all, swung for the fences with the trade, didn’t work out… tough break.
Alex:
Average Projection Points/Week from Starters = 112.8
Deep Picks with Value to Break Out: Robby Anderson
Best Pick: Clyde Edwards-Helaire
Worst Pick: Philip Lindsay
Draft Grade: B+
Post-Season Analysis: None of these players were particularly useful… No harm, no foul in the end. Consolation winner isn’t too bad here.
Rimmel:
Average Projection Points/Week from Starters = 104.3 (Last)
Deep Picks with Value to Break Out: Randall Cobb
Best Pick: Justin Herbert
Worst Pick: Diontae Johnson
Draft Grade: D
Post-Season Analysis: I just don’t understand… Johnson proved me wrong but was right on Herbert. COVID year, does it really count?
Ahsan:
Average Projection Points/Week from Starters = 113.9
Deep Picks with Value to Break Out: Marquez Callaway
Best Pick: Mark Andrews
Worst Pick: Devante Parker
Draft Grade: B
Post-Season Analysis: Was right on Andrews and Parker, but Ahsan did well to bulk up for future years by selling this year.
Sean:
Average Projection Points/Week from Starters = 112.0
Deep Picks with Value to Break Out: OBJ
Best Pick: Tyreek Hill
Worst Pick: Kareem Hunt
Draft Grade: B-
Post-Season Analysis: OBJ, just later than expected, and Hunt was not bad. Too team dependent and hot/cold; not enough consistency was the downfall here.
Parth:
Average Projection Points/Week from Starters = 116.0 (3rd)
Deep Picks with Value to Break Out: Marvin Jones Jr.
Best Pick: James Robinson
Worst Pick: Jonathan Taylor
Draft Grade: A-
Post-Season Analysis: Very wrong on everything here. I shall not question it anymore, but just couldn’t win the game that mattered in the playoffs.
Kyriacos:
Average Projection Points/Week from Starters = 120.2 (1st)
Deep Picks with Value to Break Out: Gus Edwards
Best Pick: Derrick Henry
Worst Pick: Brandon Aiyuk
Draft Grade: A
Post-Season Analysis: Right on all counts, good year finishing 2nd but the end of the road for next year.
Colten:
Average Projection Points/Week from Starters = 112.8
Deep Picks with Value to Break Out: Laviska Shenault Jr.
Best Pick: Saquon Barkley
Worst Pick: Chase Edmonds
Draft Grade: B+
Post-Season Analysis: Nothing worked out here, a tough stretch down to the end of the season.
Year Predictions:
Division Winners: Humza & Kyriacos
Wild Card Playoff Teams: Parth, Chris, Alex, & Colten / Ahsan
Championship Game & Winner: Kyriacos v. Parth --> Parth
Last Place Matchup & Loser: Rimmel v. Ali --> Rimmel
Best Record: Kyriacos
Most Points Scored: Humza
Post-Season Analysis: Very wrong on Rimmel and Humza. 1 due to injuries and 1 due to lack of injuries. Parth almost made it, but not quite enough to get there.
POST-SEASON ANALYSIS:
I wanted to spend time here looking at all the possibilities of who could’ve won if it were not for a play here or there and trust me there were a lot of scenarios where there could’ve been 5 different champions based on 1 play during the season. Unfortunately, I just don’t have the time to dive deep into all that. It would be fun to write but would take my countless hours of research that I just don’t have anymore. I’m sorry guys. It’s okay though, it was COVID, Rimmel’s championship doesn’t really count anyways. We all know that. On to the next!
2022 Post-Draft / Pre-Season LoL FFL Post:
WHERE IT ALL STARTED
The best time of the year is upon us, and we are ready to go! I am beyond happy that we had no turnover this year and we were all able to attend the draft in Phoenix! I hope everyone enjoyed it as much as I did. Now we look forward to seeing how this year plays out and what craziness we might see! We were also able to decide on next year’s draft and the punishment for last place, so hopefully we are able to keep this core group for a long time! No more disavowments or banishments from the legion. We have been around for over a decade now, but have finally reached the point of stability, and now I am looking forward to all the new things that we can accomplish with that.
I’ll just leave this here from last year’s post:
“I’m hoping that my heavy time commitment to this league will be enough for everyone to endure my trade request text messages every year. I’m hoping this is enough. “
DRAFT DAY
Now, let’s get to the draft. Man, what an event it was! A hotbox filled with excitement and way too many trades from myself. The biggest and most influential move this year – Colten trading for the #8 pick for future assets and Rimmel increasing his treasure trove. Ahsan has also done a good job of this by trading for more future assets as well. Everyone is set up for success this year except for Kyriacos… there’s no hope there, right? I mean there must be <1% chance of him winning, right? Anything is possible though, right? Regardless, so many trades to look at, I don’t know that I have time to look at them all and lay them out here. It might have to be something I come back to at the end of the year.
Interesting note: last year was the fastest draft we’ve ever had, and this year was the longest! In terms of my trades, just like last year: “I am who you thought I was, and you let me off the hook. Thanks for that, it is much appreciated.”
DRAFT ANALYSIS
Humza:
Can’t be made with Jonathan Taylor ever here. A poor Allen Robinson performance and Kittle’s injury really don’t look good here. Good WR depth, but not at RB. It will be an interesting year here.
Deep Picks with Value to Break Out: Hunter Renfrow
Best Pick: Jonathan Taylor
Worst Pick: Darnell Mooney
Draft Grade: C+
Chris:
Thank you for Alvin Kamara! It is much appreciated.
Deep Picks with Value to Break Out: Darrell Henderson
Best Pick: Travis Etienne
Worst Pick: Joe Burrow
Draft Grade: B
Yaseer:
Just absolutely stealing Pierce from me the pick before mine was just true heartbreak. There are no words… Trading future assets was an interesting move. We shall see if it pays dividends. Derrick Henry was a surprise at the position he was taken, but we’ll see if he ends up as a top 5 RB.
Deep Picks with Value to Break Out: Dameon Pierce
Best Pick: Derek Carr
Worst Pick: Cam Akers
Draft Grade: B+
Nazim:
Draft Grade: B-
Ali:
For not having a 2nd or 3rd pick, a solid number of pickups here to make it a competitive year. A lot of potential but will need things to his way and do well on waivers to make a push this year.
Deep Picks with Value to Break Out: Cole Kmet, Chase Edmonds, Robert Woods
Best Pick: Adam Thielen
Worst Pick: I don’t really have one here, love the picks in the positions that fell here
Draft Grade: A
Alex:
WILSON! I WANT LAZARD!! Forever a classic! I have no other words, just amazing! Picked up a future 8th and didn’t draft a TE but ended up with Higbee. Not too shabby.
Deep Picks with Value to Break Out: Jalen Hurts
Best Pick: Saquon Barkley
Worst Pick: Tyler Lockett
Draft Grade: A
Rimmel:
A big trade to move up to #8 with Nazim and then turning around and trading that to Colten for a future 1st and 3rd round picks. Great value with the number of picks Rimmel has accumulated, but when it comes to his selections, he is banking on his players from last year repeating their performances, and I don’t know if that will happen… Let’s hope that the injury bug comes back alive and takes its course to provide us justice for last year!
Deep Picks with Value to Break Out: JuJu or Kareem Hunt
Best Pick: Travis Kelce
Worst Pick: DK Metcalf
Draft Grade: B+
Ahsan:
Ahsan did a great job using his assets this year to bulk up his roster and build out more picks for next year. Great moves all around. Lots of depth and will last all year!
Deep Picks with Value to Break Out: Gabe Davis
Best Pick: Courtland Sutton
Worst Pick: Aaron Jones
Draft Grade: A+
Sean:
Should be an interesting year here, but not sure if there’s enough fire power here to have the longevity to last the season and make the playoffs.
Deep Picks with Value to Break Out: Christian Kirk
Best Pick: Brandin Cooks
Worst Pick: Elijah Mitchell
Draft Grade: B-
Parth:
JEUDY! What a moment during the draft. Discussing it and then him falling was elite level of drafting. Slim pickings at RB, so we’ll see if it lasts.
Deep Picks with Value to Break Out: Allen Lazard
Best Pick: Davante Adams
Worst Pick: Devin Singletary
Draft Grade: B-
Kyriacos:
A tough go at it... there’s no chance, right?
Deep Picks with Value to Break Out: Basically, all his picks were deep picks…
Best Pick: Marvin Jones
Worst Pick: Miles Sanders
Draft Grade: C
Colten:
The beast to beat this year. A healthy CMC all year is almost a guaranteed playoff appearance and a great chance to make the championship game.
Deep Picks with Value to Break Out: Brandon Aiyuk
Best Pick: Cooper Kupp
Worst Pick: James Cook
Draft Grade: A
PREDICTIONS
Division Winners: Colten & Rimmel
