2024 Week 13 LoL FFL Post:

ree

Brought to you by Naz this week cause Kcos decided to abandon the country and go to Canada due to the impending doom he faces… Let’s get to the past week’s matchups:

ree

Alex v Naz

Tough loss here for Alex who was fighting for the playoffs if he won out, but this ended up being the nail in the coffin. OT from his kicker couldn’t save him and he came up short in a high-powered battle. Naz fell short of getting highest points again: this time by 0.2 points… For all that went in this season, no money was won at all and could lose in the first round and get nothing back for all the high picks and potential that was poured into this season. An unfortunate end is near, I can feel it. Top-2 QB, 2 Top-5 RB, 2 Top-12 WR, Top-5 TE/DEF/K, all for nought.

ree

Sean v Humza

The battle of the brothers. This one was not close… Kyle Pitts disappeared again. Deebo and Tyler Bass were useless in the snow. How does the Texans defense only get 3 points against Jacksonville?! Burrow and Chase only combined for 38 points this week, but that was enough to carry Humza to the victory in his continued pursuit for the #1 seed.

ree

Ahsan v Parth

Parth conceded this matchup and season before it even began. He really didn’t stand a chance against Ahsan. The double TE starting lineup worked for Ahsan this week as Jonnu Smith dominated and carried him to the victory, most points scored, and continued pursuit against Humza for that #1 seed.

ree

Yas v Kcos

In a matchup of Thanksgiving players, Yas’ players really carried: Tua and Bowers combined for 50 points. Josh Allen did everything in his power to get Kcos that victory, but it wasn’t meant to be. Despite what Giselle said, your QB can throw and catch the ball, so no QB’s have any more excuses. Go do everything yourself, you get paid enough to do it all yourself anyways. Yas gets an important win to try and make the playoffs.

ree

Rimmel v Ali

Like most weeks, Ali’s RBs continue to put the team on their backs, combining for 52 points and carrying Ali to a win a clinching a playoff spot while also pushing Rimmel to the brink of elimination. Mike Evans on the bench for Rimmel really hurt him. If he has replaced DK with Evans, he would’ve ended up winning by 0.1 points, which would have been fitting for him, but unfortunately for him, this was not the year, despite Saquon going absolutely beast-mode.

ree

Colten v Chris

A tough year for Colten continues and takes another hit, locking him in the last place game. He did, however, get an important pickup on the waivers with Isaac, which may save him from losing that last place game. Bucky Irving did a boatload of the work for Chris here in a game that saves him from the last place game. Nothing else of consequence. We move on.

Alright, on to Week 14:

The last week is upon us this coming week before the playoffs begin and the last place matchup takes place. There’s still a lot to play for this year. Now, the following is based on what I believe are the tiebreaker scenarios, but I may be mistaken, so take it with a grain of salt.

Playoff Spots secured: Kcos, Humza, Ahsan, Naz, and Ali. There is still one spot to be fought for this week by Yas, Rimmel, and Sean. So, in terms of who makes it, the 3 of them are all playing different people, so a few possibilities here:

·      If Yas wins + Sean wins/loses + Rimmel wins/loses: Yas is in by record (8-6)

·      If Yas loses + Sean wins + Rimmel loses: H-2-H is 1-1, so it goes to points scored

·      If Yas loses + Sean loses + Rimmel wins: Rimmel is in by H-2-H record (1-0)

·      If Yas loses + Sean wins + Rimmel wins: Games played against is different, so it goes to points scored

Points Scored before Week 14 = Sean (1335.7) > Yas (1320.6) > Rimmel (1299.2)

Only currently a difference of 36 points scored on the entire season… Could end up being a really close race there. Imagine not making the playoffs because of like 5 points. Absolutely brutal. Is it important to point out that Yas is playing Colten, which should be an easy win, and it might not matter. Sean is playing me with everyone on byes and no TE. Rimmel is playing Ahsan…

ree

In terms of the division winners and overall, #1 seed, a whole lot can still happen there. Yas can tie Kcos for the division lead with a win and Kcos loss, but would need to overtake the points scored to earn the division and bye. He is currently behind by 62 points, so that is unlikely and Kcos should wrap up the division and get the bye next week. I did not play out every scenario for the relegation division, but Humza has the H-2-H over Ahsan and more points than everyone else, so will more than likely win the division by record or if tied after this week. The only way he loses it is if he loses and Ahsan wins. Then Ahsan will get the bye and #1 seed. Me and Ali aren’t really at play for the division and bye and will be playing next week in the playoffs.

Eliminated: Alex, Chris, Parth, and Colten. Colten is guaranteed to be in the last place game no matter the results of this week. Because Parth is playing Chris this week, if Parth won and Alex lost, it would be a 3-way tie at 5-9. Because the amount played against each other is different, I believe it comes down to points scored. If that’s the case, Parth has substantially less points (almost 200), so he will be in the last place game next week, regardless of winning or losing this week. So, I believe it is all but set to be Parth v Colten next week for last place. Chris and Alex are playing for fun this week. Valiant effort from Chris to make a comeback, but unfortunately it was too little, too late, but he did avoid last place!
